There are relatively many types of displacement sensors, such as magnetostrictive liquid level sensors, linear sensors, rope displacement sensors, linear electronic ruler, Angle displacement sensors, etc., and their application industries are also diverse. In daily industrial control equipment, how to correctly select displacement sensors is an important topic of concern. First of all, the working conditions of the displacement sensor should be investigated and analyzed on the spot. And according to the actual working conditions to choose the appropriate displacement sensor products. Because of the variety of forms in the measurement and control process, the choice of displacement sensor is very critical. So what elements should we pay attention to when choosing a displacement sensor? The following is introduced by Liyi technology manufacturers:
1. Measure the target
The same is the measurement target object, but the metal material, resin material, large, small, etc., the measurement object is various. Please confirm the measurement position of "material", "size", "shape". For example, "If it is a soft target, it cannot be contacted", "if the target is a resin material, it cannot be measured by eddy current", etc. Depending on the target, some measurement sensors are not suitable.
2. Measurement accuracy
When judging OK and NG, the required accuracy of the measurement sensor should be 1/10 of the tolerance as the reference value.
3. Measuring range
What measuring range is needed?
Please confirm how far you need to keep the distance from the measurement object (measurement distance).
4. The surroundings
Please confirm the surrounding environment. For example, when used in a high temperature environment, or when used in a water, oil, dust environment, etc., the displacement sensor selected is different according to the surrounding environment. In addition, it is necessary to confirm the space for installing the displacement sensor.
5. Measure the speed
Please confirm the production line speed, stop time and other information at the actual test location. For example, because ultrasonic displacement sensors use the principle of sound waves, the response speed is slower than other measurement sensors. In addition, the use of contact displacement sensors requires the target to stop in order to measure.
