Advanced flat panel displays used in industries such as home appliances and communications equipment have high requirements for the flatness of the thin glass used. Real-time monitoring in the production of glass substrates is very important for quality control. A flat glass monitoring system using a laser triangle reflection displacement sensor with an accuracy of 5μm.
Using triangulation method, the flatness of the glass is determined by measuring the distance of the glass as it passes through the sensor.
When the glass passes through the detection range of the laser displacement sensor, the laser transmitter shines the visible red laser at the surface of the tested glass through the lens, the laser reflected by the glass passes through the receiver, and the digital signal processor calculates the distance between the sensor and the tested glass. If the detected distance is greater than or less than the value learned by the sensor, there is a height difference. It is determined that there is a problem with the flatness of the glass, and the laser displacement sensor outputs the signal to the PLC and makes an alarm signal.
The laser displacement sensor can be widely used in the production line to measure the thickness of various materials in real time. It has the characteristics of non-contact measurement, no damage to the surface of the object, no environmental pollution, strong anti-interference ability and so on. It is an important thickness measuring system for product quality control in the production line at present.
Laser glass displacement sensor application field:
Laser displacement sensor series sensors are widely used in train wheel rim profile measurement, highway rutting, flatness measurement. It can also be used for non-contact measurement of displacement, three-dimensional size, thickness, object deformation, vibration, sorting and glass surface measurement.
