Principle of laser triangulation for laser displacement sensor

Today, the laser displacement sensor is a precision measuring instrument that can measure displacement, thickness, vibration, distance, diameter and other precise geometric measurements. Because of its high measurement accuracy and non-contact measurement characteristics, laser displacement sensor is widely used in universities and research institutions, automotive industry, machinery manufacturing industry, aviation and military industry, metallurgy and material industry precision measurement and detection. Today, Shenzhen Liyi Technology manufacturer introduces the principle of laser displacement sensor laser triangulation:

The laser transmitter shines a visible red laser at the surface of the measured object through the lens. The laser reflected by the object passes through the receiver lens and is received by the CCD linear camera inside. According to different distances, the CCD linear camera can "see" the spot at different angles. Based on this Angle and the known distance between the laser and the camera, the digital signal processor can calculate the distance between the sensor and the object being measured.

At the same time, the beam is processed by analog and digital circuits at the position of the receiving element, and analyzed by the microprocessor, the corresponding output value is calculated, and the standard data signal is output proportionally in the analog window set by the user. If the switch output is used, it is switched on in the set window and cut off outside the window. In addition, the analog and switching output can be independently set the detection window.

High-precision laser triangulation sensor, the highest resolution can reach 0.03um, the farthest detection distance can reach 5.4m, for high-precision measurement and detection solutions. The laser displacement sensor uses the echo analysis principle to measure the distance to achieve a certain degree of accuracy. The interior of the sensor is composed of a processor unit, an echo processing unit, a laser transmitter, a laser receiver and other parts. The laser displacement sensor sends one million laser pulses per second through the laser transmitter to the detection object and back to the receiver. The processor calculates the time required for the laser pulse to meet the detection object and return to the receiver, so as to calculate the distance value. The output value is the average output of thousands of measurements.

Laser echo analysis is suitable for long distance detection, but the measurement accuracy is lower than that of laser triangulation. Betway has a full range of long distance laser ranging sensors, and the product can detect the distance up to 250m.

The laser displacement sensor can measure the position and displacement of the measured object without contact, and is mainly used to measure the displacement, thickness, vibration, distance, diameter and other geometric quantities of the detected object.

According to the measurement principle, the principle of laser displacement sensor is divided into laser triangulation method and laser echo analysis method, laser triangulation method is generally suitable for high-precision, short-distance measurement, and laser echo analysis law is used for long-distance measurement.
