What is the difference between the working distance and range of the spectral confocal sensor?

The working distance is the distance of the light pen installation, and the range is the effective range, then the distance from the light pen head to the surface of the measuring part = working distance + range.


With the CL4-MG35 light pen example, the measuring range :4000μm, working distance: 16.2mm, it can be obtained that the distance between the light pen probe and the surface of the test piece =18.2±2mm.


The effective range of light starts at 16.2mm and ends at 20.2mm.
